Having spent 15 years working in communities to connect evidence-based prevention programs to public health institutions and K20 educational institutions, my work designing and leading mental health literacy trainings and programs for large-scale community partnerships has led to increased resilience on the individual, family and community levels. My work began in the arts – as a producer of live theatre in New York City for ten years. I have always had great interest in collaborating with different professionals to create something impactful. In 2005, my work shifted to public health, bringing national researchers and thought leaders together to impact change on dramatic levels for children and families. The collaborations with inter-disciplinary teams has led me to develop digital programs and award-winning content that is now building resilience in communities across the United States through Sharpen – a technology platform I created to bridge digital inequities and positively impact more communities with protective, evidence-based content.
